Exceedingly Rare Nicanor Kendall Five Shot
Underhammer Harmonica Rifle. Made In Windsor,
Vermont, Circa 1840.

Nicanor Kendall was one of the most prolific makers of underhammer rifles in
America. His examples were some of the finest ever made. He frequently used
convict labor, paying them just pennies a day. His masterpieces were his
"harmonica" rifles. The shooter depressed a spring on top of the receiver and
pushed the 5 round "harmonica" sideways to engage the next chamber. This
example is in very nice condition with a few repaired splits in the stock and a
nice plum brown finish. Functions perfectly and reasonably priced.
