This little rifle is serial number 519833 and it was made in 1923. It has a nice
shiny bore with strong rifling and no pitting. The barrel and magazine tube
retain about 95% original blue. The receiver has approximately 65% with the
balance of the metal turning a pleasing plum brown. Crescent buttplate. The
wood is in excellent condition with just an area of several dings on the right
side of the forend and a couple of minor dents in the buttstock. Lots of factory
varnish remaining. Just a wonderful little rifle that will be fun to shoot and is
sure to increase in value as time goes by.
