A GREAT LITTLE ANTIQUE MARLIN MODEL 1891 CALIBER .32 LEVER ACTION RIFLE WITH CODY DATA SHEET. FIRES BOTH RIM AND CENTERFIRE AMMO. NO FFL TRANSFER REQUIRED. TANG AND BEACH SIGHTS.
This little Marlin 1891 is a real sweetheart! One of my favorite rifles. It has the unique feature of being supplied with 2 firing pins so it can fire either .32 rimfire or .32 Short Colt centerfire ammo and both pins are supplied with the gun plus some ammo. It is in wonderful condition with nicely grained wood and much factory varnish remaining. The blue is also excellent with just a couple of small areas turning slightly plum in color but most of the original factory blue finish remaining. This rifle is serial number 93080 so it was made in 1893. Included is the Cody Museum data sheet. It is an antique, having been shipped from the factory on August 18, 1893 so we can ship it direct to the buyer with no FFL is required. The rifle comes equipped with a Beach combination front sight and a tang rear sight, possibly made by Marlin. The barrel address is nice and sharp. The bore is excellent with sharp rifling. We have test fired this rifle and it is deadly accurate. Crescent buttplate. The really rare feature mentioned above is that these rifles were shipped by Marlin with two firing pins, one for rimfire and one for centerfire ammo. You just open the action with the nut on the right side of the receiver and switch the pins. We have both firing pins and they go with the rifle. You can shoot either .32 Rimfire made by and available from Navy Arms or .32 Short Colt available from Winchester and quite a bit cheaper.
